Stirling Council was awarded a £1.7 million grant for restoration works to Stirling Old Town Cemetery.
The Project includes a funding of £824,000 from the National Lottery Fund, £430,226 from Stirling Council, £376,126 from Historic Scotland and £18,183 for a specific piece of work to the Pithy Mary Pond from Scottish National Heritage.
Turner & Townsend, Construction and Management Consultants, have been appointed as Project Managers while DCT Civil Engineering Limited and Land Engineering (Scotland) Limited have been awarded the contracts for the stonework/ironwork and soft/hard landscape respectively.
This work is due to be completed Summer 2009.
